Who can join LNC?
Despite the name, the Larchmont Newcomers Club isn’t limited to residents of Larchmont. All residents of Larchmont, Mamaroneck (including Rye Neck residents with a Mamaroneck address), and New Rochelle are welcome to join!
Can non-members attend events?
No. Our insurance policy requires that all participants in LNC events are current members.
Can caretakers attend LNC events in place of parents?
No. At least one parent must be present. However caretakers are welcome if at least one parent is present.
What do my membership dues actually pay for?
LNC is a not-for-profit social club. Membership dues cover all of our operating costs (website, insurance, post office box, event space, rental and refreshments, etc.) and help subsidize ticket fees to ensure affordable outings. All LNC board members are volunteers and receive no remuneration for their work.
Do you give out the names of LNC members to local business partners?
No! LNC does not sell, lease, or give out the names, phone numbers or emails of our members to any outside organization. We take privacy of our membership very seriously so anyone found to be in violation of our policy will have their membership revoked.
Do you offer event ticket refunds?
All sales are final. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled by LNC, members who purchased tickets to that event may be offered a refund. Any other refund requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
What is LNC's alcohol policy?
In an effort to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our members at all Club events, it is expected that all Club members and their guests will act responsibly in the consumption of alcohol and will either assign a designated driver or make other transportation arrangements when needed. Each Club member who participates in a Club event does so at his/her own discretion & risk; Larchmont Newcomers Club & its volunteer board will not be held liable for any injuries which may occur as a result of the consumption of alcohol by Club members and guests, and each Club member or guest expressly holds Larchmont Newcomers Club and its board harmless and shall indemnify the Larchmont Newcomers Club and its board from all damages, claims, and expenses of any nature caused as a result of acts by any such Club member or guest.
Is LNC associated with a religious group?
No, the Larchmont Newcomers Club is not associated with any religious group or any other group.
Are board or committee members paid for their work?
No, all board and committee positions are entirely volunteer based.
