Back-to-School Drive

This year we have partnered with HOPE Community Services to assist with their backpack program. HOPE is the largest emergency food pantry and soup kitchen in the region, located in New Rochelle. For more information on HOPE Community Services, click here – HOPE Community Services.

HOPE Community Services are focusing on 670 students in grades 1-5 with a great need for school supplies. This group of 670 was identified from the 3,000 students who receive free lunches in the area. The items they need most are backpacks, secondly are the spiral notebooks and folders.

We realize the summer is a busy time, so if you aren’t able to physically purchase items, you can easily donate online! HOPE Community Services has set up an Amazon Wish List that you can access by clicking here – Backpack Program Amazon Wish List.

Please bring your donation to one of our drop boxes at 4 Forest Park Avenue or 642 Forest Avenue in Larchmont by September 4th.

Just one notebook or new backpack will make a huge difference to a child!

If you are interested in helping with the assembly of the backpacks and/or joining LNC’s Community Outreach committee, contact Stephanie Murphy at or Rachael Abbott at
